CCHO is QRTP Approved!

Updated: Oct 17, 2022

We are pleased to share that Christian Children’s Home of Ohio (CCHO) has earned Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) approval. This standard is certified by the State of Ohio in compliance with the Family First Prevention Services Act. To quality for approved QRTP status, CCHO accomplished the following goals.

  • CCHO is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).

  • CCHO trains all employees, volunteers, interns, and independent contractors Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) – a trauma-informed approach.

  • CCHO’s nursing and clinical staff are available 24/7 to address the unique needs of our residents.

  • CCHO provides family-driven care from day one and family-based aftercare support for up to one year following program completion—six months longer than required.

“We are excited that our residential program meets and exceeds the standards directed by QRTP as we are passionate about helping children heal and to return to the community with essential skills and appropriate support,” said Shawn Yambor, director of residential services. “Our residential is recognized as a high-standard QRTP program by staff, county workers and guardians, while also feeling like home for the residents we serve.”

CCHO is an open residential center for youth 6 to 17 with a 3:1 child-to-staff ratio that engages up to 46 residents at one time. Our heart is to help youth experience their worth, heal from trauma and be successful back in community life.
